Privacy Policy

How we handle personal information, website measurement and privacy choices.

Last updated 7 October 2026

Privacy at a glance

  • We collect information needed to respond to enquiries and provide our services.
  • Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement is controlled through our Privacy choices.
  • Google measurement defaults to denied and does not load before a visitor makes an optional measurement choice.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks contact-form submissions for signs of automated spam.
  • We do not sell personal information.
  • You can change measurement choices later and ask us to access or correct information we hold about you.

1. About this policy

Taktet Pty Ltd (ABN 78 684 508 085) is an Australian-owned business based in Brisbane, Queensland. In this policy, “Taktet”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Taktet Pty Ltd.

This policy explains how we manage personal information collected through taktet.com, direct enquiries and our business activities. We aim to handle personal information transparently and in accordance with the privacy laws that apply to us, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where applicable.

2. Personal information we may collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:

  • your name, work email address and telephone number;
  • your organisation, role and business contact details;
  • information about your enquiry, property, project, meters or operational requirements;
  • correspondence, meeting notes, proposals and other records of our dealings with you;
  • billing and transaction information included in quotes, invoices and expense records;
  • basic technical information recorded by our hosting provider, such as an Internet Protocol address, browser type, requested page, date and time; and
  • where you allow optional measurement, website and campaign information such as pages viewed, referral source, browser or device information and advertising click identifiers where applicable.

We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information through this website. Please avoid including sensitive or unnecessary personal information in an enquiry.

3. How we collect information

We usually collect personal information directly from you when you email or telephone us, use the contact page, meet with us, request a proposal or engage our services. We may also receive business contact information from your organisation, an authorised representative, a referral or a publicly available professional source where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.

When you use the contact form, your submission is processed through our website hosting and sent to our business mailbox. Cloudflare Turnstile also processes technical information about the submission to distinguish people from automated abuse.

Where you allow optional measurement, Google Analytics or Google Ads may collect website or advertising interaction information according to the privacy choices you select.

4. Why we use personal information

We may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
  • understand requirements, prepare proposals and provide contracted services;
  • prepare quotes, issue invoices and maintain accounting and expense records;
  • manage client, supplier and professional relationships;
  • administer, secure and improve our business and website;
  • measure website use and advertising performance where you have allowed the relevant optional measurement;
  • maintain business and project records; and
  • comply with legal, regulatory, insurance and professional obligations.

We do not use personal information from this website to make automated decisions that could significantly affect a person’s rights or interests.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising measurement

We use Google Consent Mode v2 with optional measurement choices. The Google consent signals for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are denied by default. On a first visit, our Google measurement script does not load unless you allow at least one optional measurement category.

Our privacy controls provide these categories:

  • Necessary: supports essential website functions, security and saving your privacy choice. This category cannot be disabled through our measurement controls.
  • Analytics: allows Google Analytics to measure website visits, page use and successful enquiries.
  • Advertising measurement: allows Google Ads storage and advertising data used to measure campaign performance.
  • Personalised advertising: allows eligible Google advertising data to be used for personalisation features such as remarketing. This choice depends on advertising measurement being allowed.

Your choice is stored in your browser so it can be applied on later pages and visits. If browser storage is unavailable or cleared, you may be asked again. You can change your selection at any time using in this policy or in the footer.

When Analytics is allowed, a successful contact-form enquiry can send a generate_lead event to Google Analytics after our server accepts the enquiry. The event we send contains fixed form metadata and does not include the name, email address, company, enquiry message or topic entered in the form.

When the relevant choices are allowed, Google technologies may use cookies or similar browser storage and may receive standard website, device, referral or advertising interaction information. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads for measurement; Google explains how it handles information in its Privacy Policy.

6. When we disclose information

We currently use Spaceship and its Spacemail service for website hosting and business email, Cloudflare Turnstile for contact-form spam protection, Google for optional website and advertising measurement, and Zoho Books for quotes, invoices, expenses and accounting records. These providers process relevant information to supply those services to us.

We may also disclose personal information, where reasonably necessary, to personnel and contractors working with Taktet; information technology and data-storage providers; professional advisers such as accountants, insurers and lawyers; or regulators and authorities where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

7. Overseas processing

Spaceship, Spacemail, Cloudflare, Google and Zoho operate internationally and may route, process, store or allow support access to information in Australia or overseas. The primary location of Zoho Books data depends on the data centre assigned to our account, and providers may use other group companies or subprocessors.

Provider locations can change. Where disclosure to an overseas recipient is likely, we will take reasonable steps required by applicable law and identify relevant countries in this policy where it is practicable to do so.

8. Security and retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps appropriate to the nature of the information to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, our legitimate business records, or a legal or professional requirement. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it.

9. Access and correction

You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request that inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading information be corrected. Contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding and will explain any lawful reason why a request cannot be fulfilled.

10. Privacy enquiries and complaints

If you have a privacy question or complaint, email our Privacy Officer with the subject “Privacy” and describe the issue. We will acknowledge the matter and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies to the matter, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our information-handling practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The current version will remain available on this page with its latest update date.
